: I was originally insured by the occupational union and now I’ve been insured again after working at a new company. What do I do if I receive a notice for double insurance?

: If a worker is insured by the union, the Bureau of Labor Insurance will not take the initiative to withdraw in the event that the insured person joins a new company or fail to pay their premiums.

If an insured person of occupational union is hired to work for a new company but continues to engage in their own specialties, they may be simultaneously covered by their new company and the occupational union. Insurance premiums during the coverage period of the new company and occupational union are calculated separately. Workers that no longer engage in their own specialties should actively contact the union with apply to withdraw from insurance coverage to avoid paying for double insurance.
